In the past 5 years, there has been increasing interest focused on breast cancer prevention and breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women in the U.S, and more than 211,000 additional diagnoses are made every year. Breast cancer is the 2nd leading cancer among women in the world and the leading cause of cancer death. While Caucasian women have the highest risk factors for breast cancer, BlackAfrican women are more likely to die from breast cancer. There are several steps that women can implement within your life to promote healthy breasts, including lifestyle changes and dietary supplements. It is crucial for people to be familiar with their risk factors for breast cancer so that they can take proper steps for prevention.

Among the of the highest risks for breast cancer is either having already had breast cancer in the past or having a sister or mother that has previously been diagnosed with the disease. While these risk factors of breast cancer do not ensure that you will be diagnosed, they increase your risk of developing the disease in your lifetime. To assist in the prevention of breast cancer, there are several actions that you can implement.


Initiating and maintaining a healthy exercise program is crucial to reducing your breast cancer risk factors. People have all been told that health is significant, yet so many of us fail to add exercise plans into our daily schedules. Start small and add to your length of workouts and intensity to increase the level of your overall fitness. If you are out of shape, you are at an increased to develop breast cancer. A healthy life and a better are two of the most advantageious breast cancer risk factor reduction strategies available. Be sure to manage an optimal weight by adding vegetables, fruits and calcium in your daily diet. Choose vegetables that are rich in antioxidants and vitamins to reduce your breast cancer risks.

Smoking is one of the highest breast cancer risk factors. If you smoke, stopping smoking can reduce your risks for all cancers, especially breast cancer.

Ensure that you perform consistent monthly breast exams to check for irregularities in between your regular clinical visits. As you are performing a breast self exam, search for any lumps, discolorations or dimples in either of your breasts or under your armpits. You are placing yourself at risk for breast cancer if you are not administering these monthly exams. Women should also schedule regular visits with your doctor to reduce your risk factors for forming breast cancers as well as to achieve an early diagnosis. When you are talking with your doctor, make sure to inquire about when you should begin going for mammograms for the early detection of breast cancer.

Mammograms are recommended for women over the age of 40, and every year for women over the age of 55. Mammograms are useful at reducing the risks of breast cancer and allow physicians to present an earlier treatment plan and diagnosis if an abnormality is found.The lack of mammograms among women is one of the leading risk factors for breast cancer becoming metastatic.

In addition to these important lifestyle habits and health care routines, consider including nutritional supplements that have proven to assist in the elimination of breast cancer risk factors and the increase of your overall beinghealth.

This disease is a common disease around the globe and affects as many as 1/10th of the women around the globe. Proper lifestyle management and the addition of nutritional supplements, you can help your body to reduce the formation of breast cancer.
